Well ladies and gents, I’m proud (and %^$&^%$&^ excited) to announce that @egooi and I will be at #WebcampKL tomorrow at Mindvalley, Menara UOA tomorrow at 6.30pm for a quick 10 minute pitch.

In 10 short minutes, I’m gonna uncover the project and try to gain a bunch of people who trust in us and our idea. Details of the event can be found on the FB page here. If you happen to pass the area at that time, I’d love you to come join us!

Also..my Kuching trip last weekend gave me something that’ll make my presentation more interesting : A BLOODY FLU.

By now, you’re curious about this startup, I’m gonna leave it as a mystery..but I’ll leave you a clue (that also happens to be Project #52 : Week #3’s pic). If you’ve been following me on Twitter, you’ll know what it is Winking smile

Project #52 : Week #2–Think before you RT

Better post this quickly before I forget and step into Week # 3.. I don’t wana degrade my already degraded Project # 52 to a mere Project # 12! xD

So here it is – Week #2’s pic plug:

IMG_4850My first time donating blood happened at SDMC last Saturday, when I read a tweet by @ChuaLeo about an Albert Lim urgently needing blood type A.

I’ve seen many many many of these tweets : ‘X needing Blood’, ‘Y seeking [insert organ]’ etc. The only thing I’ve not seen (yet) is ‘mother-to-be seeking sperm from healthy male, preferably with the looks of Johnny Depp’. Neither have I had any personal requests for my sperm..What a waste of the awesome specimen :D

As I watched my bluud race into the pint pack, I thought about this: what would one normally would do when getting a tweet like ChuaLeo’s? My guess is –> Click RT –> ‘OK’ –>  Forget. He / she won’t even remember the name of the receiver or blood type, or if his / her blood matched Alfred’s blood type.

We’ve all been conditioned to accept that RT-ing itself is a help to Alfred. But RTs can’t dissolve into blood. RTs just adds to Alfred’s chances of getting blood…but no guarantees. What I’m trying to say is..if you can physically help out, just do it :)

We later visited Alfred Lim in his ward and found out that he was just 2 years old, suffering from acute leukemia and needed not just blood, but also platelets for treatment. And get this..the whole (pediatrics) floor had mostly leukaemia patients…and they’re as young as 8 months. Scary!

What’s causing this could be.. Genes.. Environment.. or Baby milk from China. Nobody knows.

So the conclusion is:

Breast feed your kids until they’re sick of your damn nipples. (Scene from ‘Grown ups (2010)’)

Haha. Okay what I meant to say was…(back to responding to distress tweets above) : ‘Think before you RT, and take action (if you can)’.

You could save a life Smile

Be a Pink Angel..Help fight against breast cancer!

-

It’s alarming how rapidly the rate of breast cancer infection is increasing nowadays.

Last year, someone close to me had discovered a lump in her breast..thankfully she had it removed with no permanent effects. Just yesterday, one of my office’s staff-to-be couldn’t commence service in the company when she discovered a lump in her breast.

Don’t ask me which breast or how big the lump was. My request to study it was refused. Okay, bad joke I know.

I was requested by a very sweet @Stephylicious to help post on a breast cancer campaign called the Pink Purse. Check out details below!

Gawd, there’s so much pink. I’m so not used to this. More pink here on the abovementioned ‘specially designed’ kite…

In a nutshell, this is how you can help:

1.  Check out the ‘Be a Pink Angel’ FB fan page and like it to receive updates.

http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Be-A-Pink-Angel/156959914347893

2.  Buy this cute angel kite for just RM10. You can buy as many as you like and watch as the sky gets filled with all that pink goodness.

3.  J’Co Donuts are also one of the sponsors. Support them and RM2 will be donated to this campaign with every combo that you purchase.

Help out and support the campaign yeah? Breast cancer can happen to anyone..and it’s not just females ok? (Males have boobs too)

Cheers to you, the next pink angel.
