Chinese Burglar at my dorm!

-

Last night I had a mini adventure after I came back from dinner.

I spotted a Burglar at my apartment window!

Except at it wasn’t a burglar at all. In fact, the guy you see at the window is Charles, chairman of WDC, where I’m currently running my training at.

What actually happened was that, me and EGo Forgot to take our dorm key and left it on the table this morning before going to work. Charles would’ve actually been at home with his wife and daughter, but we called him out to ‘rescue’ us. And he ended up scaling dormitory walls looking like a desperate robber.

The funny thing is, I think he actually enjoyed it.

We even had to drag the worker out of his nightshift with his forklift to assist us in ‘the burglary’. He can even pose for the camera LOL.

I really would have done the climbing myself, but what to do, Charles die die also INSISTED that he wanted to do it.

Maybe it was a refreshing change from his normal eating routine. Ahahahaha.

Btw I’ll be away 2mr night for a business trip to RiZhao Steel that’s about 600km away from here. It’s gona be Charles, David, Sibird, EGo and me with Indian customers, where 7 of them want to see the steel plant. SEVEN. What do they think this is…some chinese tea party? Aih.

Anyway this time, I’ll make sure I remember my apartment keys :D See ya on Sat evening!

Cheers!

Chao to China

-

After months of evading the need to travel for work, my luck has finally run out.

I need to be a traveller again and this time, the destination is Wuxi, China.

Some people may wonder why I’m complaining, and most will probably think I’m an ass for complaining about travelling for work.

And the reason for that is..my normal travelling period is 2-3 weeks. And this time, my upcoming trip is….2 months long.

That’s damn long for my standard wei.

I’m basically going to work and stay at Wuxi Driveshafts’s (WDC) factory, learn the ropes about setting up and running a production. In short, if all goes well, when I come back, I’ll be able to steal their technology and get rich quick enter a partnership with them and lead us both to success in the India market.

I still remember how Psychkin made these little cute notes packed in an envelope, each with jigsaw puzzle pieces that were to be opened every day for 13 days, until it formed a complete jigsaw (that still lies on my table til today).

And I’m very proud to say that some things will never change. She is still as sweet as ever. See what she got me this time!

Laundry hanger, clothes pegs, FAB soap and hangers!

Well……these may not be the most romantic gifts in the world, but me being there for 2 months, meant that I would have to do my own laundry lor *puts brave face*.

And then, earlier today I found out that soap powder, hanger, and even washing machine will be available at the dormitory for my abuse usage. And to top it off, just about 1/2 hour ago I realized that my luggage weight limit is 20kg. So all these Soap stuff can’t make it, and will just have to wait for my next Real Outdoor trip.

But what definitely can make it for the trip is my other present from Psychkin, me New Pocket Knife!

At the moment, I haven’t figured out yet how I would use this blade in a factory (that already has plenty of cutting, drilling, screwing and sawing machines)…

Maybe I can use it to defend myself against ‘unexpected guests’ during this Hungry Ghost Festival month.

Or maybe I’ll just use it to cut vegetables while (trying to) cook for dinner. I actually have to cook more often than I do now when I’m there. No choice la, can’t be eating instant noodles everyday. Although I’ll most likely be keeping HUGE stock of it xD

Hopefully I get food like this like I did in my previous Airasia flight to Hangzhou.

And hopefully I get some hot China Mui as co-passengers this time, instead of what I got the last time.

I thought I was quick, but not quick enough since the lady with-spoon-in-mouth caught me taking this pic LOL.

What will be the biggest challenge for me to accept is that this time, I won’t be bringing the 40D. This is Chuntang and SiBird from WDC trying to get acquainted with it last year. I don’t know why SiBird seems to be clapping his hands with a miang face behind, I’ll have to ask him when I’m there ahhaaaa.

Instead I’ll be bringing EGo’s Canon S80, that hopefully, will take better pics than what my Sony compact cam did the last time. We were in Xin Tian Di, by the way. Snooker there costs RM40 an hour *shakes head*  and this is how Ghosts play snooker. HAHA.

This is David Li, son of company’s president. We’re bringing 14 packs of mosquito patches specially for him…he keeps telling me of some Asian Tiger mosquito infestation that many of them are most terrified of. I think they’re just paranoid man, come on, it’s just mosquitoes :D

There are two final things that make China a living hell for us Web addicts.

1.  Access to Blogspot and WordPress is BANNED omgwtf. That means I can only access dotcom blogs including myself (phew). But I won’t be able to bloghop as before, sorry everyone :/

2.  Access to Twitter is also banned. This really hits the roof man. Truly depressing. It’s gona a constant fail-whale for me throughout the 2 months.

But I definitely will be able to blog & FB while I’m there, so all is not lost *yay*

I wanted to talk more about this trip during the past few days, but I was busy catching up with friends…hence the late last-hour post. Yes, I’m actually leaving for the airport in less than an hour.

So friends, my readers, and everyone else, I will miss you a lot. But a consolation is that I’ll definitely be posting more often there, so do drop by want you wana catch some unofficial China-news-scoop! :D

So, off we go to the land of funny translations! Here’s a teaser of some of the funny shit that we’ll be seeing.

Wish us all the best! And in true China spirit….we will Jia You!

Funky Friday : Escaped Lion in Melaka

-

Taken from an email sent from EGo. Written in its original context of the email,

“Technicians at Melaka Baru  car repair shops were having a normal day at work, when suddenly a nervous looking LION came out of no where…seemingly hungry because of how skinny his body looks.

Workers freaked out, jumping over each other, some locking themselves up in cars, some in the offices, and some just ran away…but one brave guy took the picture of this Lion without making a sound….and there was the SHOCK when the Lion turned around…nobody could believe it

Turns out it’s their Indian co-worker’s dog. He shaved the dog in such a way to look like a Lion…. let’s just say the co-worker has gotten a bit more than a hard pat on the back ; ) hahaha”

Now I know exactly what to do when Shadow’s fur gets too long….LOL..!
